Using the momentum and cultural diversity as a source of inspiration, this band Afrococoa based in Minsk, Belarus was founded by Nigerian-born and raised singer, Osagie Ojea who saw it right to spread the African culture all over Europe for a change. The band’s catchy melodies highlight their encyclopedic style of afro-fusion that melds the diversity of the African sounds such as afrobeats with the richly veined and universal soul and classic Jazz with some other broad-based styles and sounds such as the Amapiano is identified with the South African sound.
Their style of music reflects the band’s originality and creative growth and has been paving the way for them to establish a strong presence in the global music market. They have a new album out; their 4th studio release that is titled, “Omoba II” – and can I say I was fascinated by the artwork on the album cover; absolutely eye-catching!
