Well, in all essence, things happen because there were meant to be and for songstress Beth Vandal who went from winning “Best Musician/Indie Artist” award with Raw Awards in Orlando Florida to walking away from the music scene altogether, nothing could be further from the truth. In 2018 she released an EP, with her own project“That I AM” consisting of Vandal and her drummer, after which they took a long break and never regrouped. It has been a rollercoaster ride but finally, she is back like she never left and with the help of Red Lion Recording Studio, Vandal is set to release her first single in four years titled, “Runaway”. The single will be officially released along with a music video on all the streaming platforms on 24th June 2022.
I happened to peep into her YouTube channel and was welcomed with the aesthetic side of the cover for, “Summertime sadness” by Lana Del Rey, and my God, this lady can sing! She has a pure voice of gold; brimming with innate femininity and flexing its own technical ability. To any listener getting to know her for the first time, she rocks in rock n roll and blends the modern and classic rock sonic adding just enough intriguing punk attitude for that ethereally endearing listen.
Her single, “Runaway” is born from her own true experiences and will resonate greatly with any kind of listener no matter the genre you subscribe to. It is born of true struggles with others and yourself – those creeping insecurities augmented by the haunting shadows of yourself having been bombarded with an endless cycle of toxic personal relationships with yourself and others! If the unbearable weight of the pain is too much to carry; this song will let the emotions out on your behalf and unburden your heart.
It is a remarkably aggressive rock tune bursting through with guitar virtuosity and showmanship with Vandal unleashing a timeless medley of some opulent instrumentation, her self-assured vocals, lay a steady foundation with a strong, catchy anthem.
One thing about her is that she is gifted at is letting those emotions fly through her clear and audibly addicting and soaring vocals. And the way she exercises control over those vocals is a lesson on its own.
Let her music speak to the hardest part of the heart; open your soul to her relatable message. She is back and she is here to stay forever- how about that!
