NightxVision has cultivated a unique and idiosyncratic sound based on the hip-hop music he grew up with. His insatiate passion and drive are undeniably apparent as he pours all of his heart and soul into his songs, aiming to bring hip-hop back to its roots and allow it the stature and respect that it has always been accorded. Infusing his tracks with personal experiences, intense lyricism, and bold imagery, he has got that star glow in him that really comes out in all of his performances.
As someone who is always dedicated to honing his craft and motivating others around him to be the best version of themselves, NightxVision looks back with bittersweet memories on all the trials and tribulations he has had to endure and packages them in a 6-track masterpiece themed “Nobody Believed.”
Listening to this EP, I felt an unnecessary urge to take it as NightxVision’s authentic version of “God Did” (that’s just me). From a hip-hop devotee’s point of view, there is something for everyone in this record: those who love a bit of nostalgic vibes, those who dig the heavy, drum-focused, full-on gritty anthems, and even those who love the introspective, laid-back tunes.
I was quite moved by that performance in the track “Mountains,” largely due to its lively nature—the way NightxVision comes through with his thought-inspiring rhymes over the dulcet guitar tones is just impeccable artistry at its best. He goes on to deliver a poetic showpiece that somehow feels grand in its scope and immaculate in its execution.
I’ve seen a lot of folks also dig the banger “Get Away,” and it is little wonder why; this is one blazing masterpiece that sees NightxVision unleash a top-class lyrical performance that is full of clever punchlines, insightful rhymes about his own journey to where he is, and hard-hitting braggadocios bars that support his ability over the mic. The beats are heavy and slap harder than my father’s belt!
There is a lot for hip-hop purists to sink their teeth into from this whole collection that really exemplifies the essence of hip-hop and has been embedded in the traditionalism of the genre!
