NOAPOLOGY formerly Sershen&Zaritskaya is now a quartet with two more members added as the band continues exploring the depths of rock music in their own ingenious ways. Many have fallen in love with their out-of-this-world covers of famous rock anthems, and there is more reason to be excited about this rock project as they are now creating their own original tracks. “Ashes” has been quite a success- dominating the airwaves and digital platforms in equal measure.  The track already has over one million views on YouTube and more than 126K Spotify streams.

There is no denying that “Ashes,” the original version, was a piece of indescribable magic, and when I was about to play the acoustic version, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect; lo and behold, this acoustic version is just as good if not better than the original!

There is that spirit, character and attitude over the edgy personality of the rock but now with a commanding acoustic guitar laying the foundation for everything else. Hit with such showmanship and theatrics, Sershen really did deliver on his end to make this an immersive listening experience that draws a listener in from the word go and refuses to let go until the track is no more.

I fear I lack enough words to convey the depth of my appreciation for Daria’s voice…my god; she just knocks the performance out the park with her golden and angelic vocals. She has the range and she isn’t afraid of testing her vocal limits- she sings like a canary with her words cursing through a listener’s heart and soul marvelously.

There is that juice added with the skillfully hit drums and the sonic clarity provided by the bass but the main emphasis has been placed on the acoustic version and Daria’s captivating vocals.

NOAPOLOGY have a debut album in the works that will be dropping soon and I honestly cannot keep calm…for some time now, they have been my favorite rock band and I can’t wait to see what the future looks like for them!
