Dead Cat Bounce isn’t the only unique thing about his artistry; this multifaceted producer has always possessed that knack for commercial and a niche for sound design and arrangement with his authentic style of production separating him from the average producers. His sound is built from the ground up as he utilizes his virtuosity in instrumental engineering to blend the piano, drums, guitars and other organs for that certified quality sound that breaks the boundaries present in soul, funk, R&B, Hip-hop, pop, rock and many others. The beauty of his sounds is that they are able to communicate emotions even without the lyrics and that is what makes him stand out from the pack. He is on course to making a huge name for himself in the production world and it will only be a matter of time before he achieves superstardom as he is primed to.
Drawing upon his vast inspiration for film music and also being pushed from Thomas Bergersen’s own project, “Flight of The Silverbird”, Dead Cat Bounce decided to get in the studio and what was born is of course a 20-piece masterpiece dubbed, “Symphomaniac (Instrumental Version)”- a collection with some of the most dynamic and expressive melodies you could ask for. In here there is undoubtedly something for everyone with the tracks taking through a cinematic affair that feels like a series of events that build on one another but authentically tell new and refreshing stories to keep you heavily invested!
“Ride It Out” for example is a fiery tale that is re-engineered in the form of a rock classic with the modern percussion jumping at a listener with a tremendous amount of character and attitude. The whole rock-like groove blends with the drums and piano and guitar for a very organic sound that is otherworldly delightful. The way the melodic elements in here flex that endearing call and response is something to behold!
“Paradox” punches through with exceptional clarity as the drums and keyboard amalgamate for a very lively melody that is somewhat defined with very timely placed choral sections that add that intrigue and fascination about the whole of the track.
“Chain Reaction” has that hauntingly familiar impact that you simply cannot get enough of. The guitar intro embellished by that uptight bass and the addition of the infectious euphonious glow is why this tune will be forever indebted in your brain. The instrumentation here flaunts elements of soul, funk, pop and hip-hop immaculately.
“Tension and Release” is a film from the head to the toe that will have you on the edge of your seat due to the amount of action, thrill and suspense it utilizes throughout its length. This is a genuine showcase of an engrossing blend between cinema and music that builds up on the script and takes you through numerous emotions before finally making a deserved end!
There is drama, suspense, chill even in the other tunes such as; “Dancing in the Petrichor”, “Tourists of the Caribbean”, ‘Horny”, “Dark Horizon Coming”, “Prayer in Despair” and “Chaos in Harmony” among others.
